Below you will find the latest updates for the Remington Avenue Streetscape Project:

• Construction of a retention pond near the Thomas County Emergency Services building continues. This project is not a part of the Remington Avenue Streetscape Project but will greatly improve stormwater movement throughout the corridor.
• Extensive water services and line work continues along Remington Avenue beyond the Thomas County Emergency Services building.
• Phase II sidewalk construction continues along Remington Avenue toward Ben Grace Drive. Work may slow temporarily as the water extension project progresses to the water line tie-in at East Pinetree Boulevard.
• Traffic signal poles have been installed at the intersection of Remington Avenue and Covington Avenue. Connection work continues.
• Eastbound Remington Avenue at the roundabout remains closed to minimize traffic due to continued construction work.
• Travelers in the area are reminded of the dangers of driving around barricades and through active construction areas. Drivers are asked to use established detours to bypass the construction area.
